Mizzy had seen his father heading off somewhere, and the male, who had been bored at the time, had followed him. He had still been on his way when he heard the slightly faint voice of Vita ask another member about gem hunting. The dog remembered the discussion he had with his father a few days ago about the same thing. He trotted along faster until he came to the room. "Can I go with you guys?" he asked, politeness always one of the first things on his mind.

Mizuka had been spending a lot of time outside of the castle recently. It was because of this he had happened upon so many deaths, he believed. The death of Pocketkit, a kit he didn't know, but still stayed with as she died. A ShadowClanner bitten by a snake. His mother, drowned in a river. The dog felt that he had seen more deaths than he should have in the past three moons. And looking back, someday, he would both regret and be glad of his decision to leave the castle today.

The first thing that caught Mizzy's attention was the scent of blood. Stopped, his ears automatically flattened against his head. For a moment, he stood there, trying to decide whether he should try and find it, or if he should turn, slip away, like he had never been here. Sighing, the German shepherd thought that, whoever it was, they at least deserved help, if it wasn't too late. And if it was, they deserved company to die with. So the trainee continued on through the trees until he reached the glade where Kazkan's wolf body was. He saw the pile of fur on the ground, and cringed. It didn't look to be in good shape.

The canine carefully picked his way to the injured creature, not recognizing Kazkan's wolf body at first. He had only heard of it, never seen it for himself. But now that he stood beside the ex-leader, he realized it was his ex-great uncle. It pained the dog to think of Kazkan as no longer family, now that he was part of the Praelium line, but he also didn't understand what Kazkan had done to be in so much trouble. He was too young to. But there was one thing the German shepherd understood, and that was death. His brown eyes looked upon the body, shock filling them. "K-Kazkan?"
he woofed quietly.

Mizuka turned away, his head bowed and his eyes closed. "I don't know what they say you did, Kazkan...But may you finally be happy again. You deserve it..." he murmured. He then sat still for a moment of silence to respect the dead wolf.

Mizuka couldn't stop a tear from dropping out of his eyes and onto his paw. He had never known Kazkan very well, but he felt that if he had taken the chance to get to know him, they would've been great friends. "Just because I carry the Praelium n-name now, I-it doesn't mean I don't think of you as f-family...I don't k-know what you did to make A-Abaddus so angry, but... I wish we had gotten to...to know each other better." The dog's voice was a quiet murmur.

I swear, Mizzy has multiple personality disorder...I think I'm going to actually make him have it.

Mizuka completely missed any dialogue prior to approaching his clanmates. The dog smiled brightly at Mitchiko. He didn't know the tom, and had no idea what was going on between him and those in the clan that hated him. "Hi! I'm Mizuka," he woofed, warm brown eyes shining.

Mizzy smiled as Attlilus responded to his own attempts at beatboxing. The dog shook his head, amusement in his eyes. "No way! I sounded like a buzzing bee. Yours was definitely better." he woofed. The Praelium pup wasn't just being nice because Addie was the heir to the throne. In fact, he didn't know. Suddenly, the German shepherd realized he hadn't properly introduced himself yet. "Oh, my name is Mizuka, by the way. But you can call me Mizzy, if you like. I'm Vita's son." He didn't even mention that he was adopted, because he felt it really didn't matter.

Is (one of) Attilus' nicknames Addie? Because I keep calling him that xD

Mizuka had trotted into the scene just after Attilus. If the heir hadn't been there, Mizzy would've thought it was him. The dog made the connection of their looks, as well as how saddened Attilus seemed, and realized they must be related. He had never met Emery before, so he hadn't know he was related to Addie, and only assumed.

The German shepherd looked at Addie, sympathy in his eyes. Mizzy took a step closer and let his tail brush Attilus' flank. He had taken a particular liking, in a friendly way, to the cat after meeting him, and felt terrible for him. "I'm sorry, Attilus," he woofed quietly. His own brown eyes were darkened with sadness. He had seen far too many deaths in his time in ScarClan, and each one, he couldn't help but sympathize for the family members, remembering his own mother's leave from this world.

Mizuka trotted in, looking around with his big brown eyes. He may be a bit young for this kind of party, but the dog didn't care. He enjoyed dancing, food, and friends, so parties were great for him. His gaze fell upon Mitchiko, and he smiled. "Hey! I think we've met once before. I'm Mizuka, Vita's son, but you can call me Mizzy." he woofed, just waiting for the tom to point out that he was a dog and Vita was a snow leopard.

Mizzy grinned. "You might have. But I've always been terrible at remembering names, anyways, so the extra boost helps. Good with faces, can't always connect the names." The trainee let out a chuckle, his warm brown eyes bright.

Mizuka bounded over to his father, his eyes warm and proud. "That was brilliant!" he woofed, his tail wagging. The German shepherd couldn't help but grin at the snow leopard. "I'm so proud of you, Dad... If you're half as good at being deputy as you are being a father, you'll be a great deputy and a better leader. But I'll be proud of you no matter what," Mizzy told his adopted father, brown eyes warm and brimming with pride.

I kind of want to enter Mizzy, because I think it'd be fun to be deputy. But I'm also sort of terrified that I'd win and have a 6 Moon old German shepherd to play as deputy...

Reasons Why Mizuka Should Be Deputy
-He's young and will live a *hopefully* long life
-Still learning and growing more experienced by the day
-He has no one but ScarClan, so no one to betray ScarClan because of
-He's kind, and tries to be so to everyone
-He can sympathize with the loved ones of animals who have passed away
-He loves kits/pups/cubs/young ones in general
-Currently has the absorb spirits power and working to get more
-Always does what he thinks is right
-He will give as many lives as he can for his Clan

Reasons Why Mizzy Mizuka Should NOT Be Deputy
-He's young (6 Moons)
-He's inexperienced
-He can be kind of sensitive
-He's not very experienced at fighting
-He sometimes disagrees with the decisions of the leader
-If he thinks something is wrong, he will speak out against it, no matter what
-He doesn't know as much about the Clan because he's only been here for 6 Moons

It was an odd sight in the courtyard. A six-moon old German shepherd was pushing a crate into the center of a decorated courtyard. Streamers the dog had found in the territory hung all around the outside, all different colors and glittering from the light of the rising moon. Jumping up on top of the wooden crate, he looked around. Underneath a canvas of indigo, star-speckled sky, Mizuka took a deep breath. "If you would be so kind as to gather, I would like to make a speech."

"Some of you may know me, and others may not. I am Mizuka Praelium, son of Vita. I have just recently decided to run for the position of deputy, and it's time I make my speech. First off, I don't want it to seem like I am hiding anything from you. I was not born in ScarClan, nor any other group, clan, or tribe. I was born a loner with my mother, and travelled with her for three moons before we came to ScarClan and she drowned."

"Now that we have that out of the way, I want to tell you what I can do for you. Because I am so young and have been beyond ScarClan, I can offer a new and unique perspective on the problems we face as a clan. Yes, as a clan. None of us are alone here. Whether we think we are alone, ScarClan is like a family. No matter how much we might disagree with each other and fight, we belong together. When it truly matters, this clan comes together and unites against a common enemy that threatens us."

"One of the reasons I chose to nominate myself to be deputy was because I want to make ScarClan great. My mother named me Mizuka because it means 'spirit' and she said I always had a strong spirit. With your help, I can work with Abaddus and all our other high positions to change what needs to be changed, and to protect those who need to be protected. I will be loyal to all of you, and keep your best interests at heart with everything I do."

"There is a reason I chose such a short podium to make my speech from tonight. I did not want to tower above all of you, and intimidate you. I wanted to seem like one of you, because that is all I am. One of you, one of the members of this great and strong clan. And with your help, I will make this clan stronger in spirit, body, and mind. For ScarClan, we can all do this. I promise you, I will try so hard to get us all so far, and I will stop at nothing less than the best."

Mizuka had been present for the speech, and he smiled at Crimescene. He didn't care that she was a competitor, trying to get the same spot as him. The dog was supportive and kind to everyone, and refused to let an election make him cold against those in it as well. He thought especially so because his father was also campaigning, as well as one of his cousins from when he was in the Intégre family. "Wonderful speech, Crimescene," he woofed, his tail wagging and a grin upon his face.

Mizuka had been wandering about the castle, when he once more smelled the familiar, metallic stench of blood. He sighed, wondering which injured clanmate he would happen upon this time. The trainee quite honestly was tired of coming upon dying or already dead animals, and had his fill of blood for several moons. But life just wouldn't give him a break, would it? The dog refused to act like he had not noticed the stench, and instead carried on until he turned a corner and saw the hyena-shaped body. "Husher?" Mizzy woofed. The sometimes ill-tempered hyena was the last one the German shepherd would've expected to find bleeding to death in the castle.

The shape of a dog walked, head down, along the ridge of a small hill. The setting sun illuminated his silhouette, making black the only visible color. He stopped, and looked towards the sandy bank of the river. He hadn't been here for three moons. Not since the day he had come here. The day he lost the one family member he had ever known.

Looking defeated, the dog padded down to the riverbank, and stopped in front of a barely noticeable mound. "Hey, Mom...It's me. Mizuka. I'm here to do something I should've done moons ago... You're going to get a proper burial." The dog sighed, closing his eyes briefly to get a hold of himself.

"You don't need to worry about me. I'm taken care of, Ma. I have...I have a f-family. A father. Soon, I'm g-gonna have siblings..." His voice grew thick with emotion, and again the trainee had to stop for a moment. "I'm running in an election to be d-deputy. To make you and all the rest of my...My family, proud." The dog lifted his head to the sky, which was growing darker rapidly. Tears fell from his cheeks as he spoke to his birth mother.

"You...You would've loved it here. There's a castle...And it's so...So big and b-beautiful. When I'm walking through it...Sometimes I feel like...You're walking beside m-me." Mizuka trembled now, tears streaming from his eyes as he sat in the spot where, three moons ago, he awoke beside his dead mother. The mother who had died to save him.
